Wm. Mark Rowland
Born in Belton, South Carolina, Mark was educated at Belton-Honea Path High School and was an honor graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member and former President/Master Artist of Pi Sigma Eta, the national scholastic mortuary arts fraternity.
Mark is also a member and President of the Kiwanis Club of Anderson, member of the Greater Anderson Rotary Club, and member of the Heritage Club of Anderson. He has been a trustee of the Belton Cemetery Foundation since 1999 and was named Chairman in 2003. In 2007, he joined the Board of Directors for the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium. Within the G.A.M.A.C. organization, he serves as Treasurer and as a member of the Executive Committee. Mark serves on the annual Gala Planning & Fundraising Committee for St. Joseph Catholic School in Anderson.
Mark is also a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association, and the Academy of Funeral Service Professionals. He has dual licensure in the State of South Carolina as a Funeral Director & Embalmer. Mark is a Funeral Director and the Director of Funeral Service Operations at The McDougald Funeral Home.
He is a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Anderson.
