CHARLIE WALPOLE October 22, 1949 - May 22, 2012 Charles "Charlie" George Walpole, Jr., age 62, of Anderson, passed away on May 22, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Charles George Walpole, Sr. and the late Virginia Robeson Walpole. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Charlie was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Ellenburg Nursing Home and Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital for many years. He is survived by his sons, Charles Walpole, III and David Walpole, both of Illinois; brothers, Lawrence Walpole of New York and Raymond Walpole of Anderson, SC; a sister , Mary McPhillips of Anderson, SC; a special niece, Shana Makison and her husband Jonathan Makison; a special nephew Dustin McPhillips; two special great-nieces, Skylar and Brooklyn; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his companion of 30 years, Harold Brock; a brother, Leo Francis Walpole; and a sister, Agnes Clark. The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
