Larry Eugene McMahan, age 67, husband of Rita Gale Buckles McMahan, of 113 Wilson Creek Road, Iva, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at his residence.Born in Iva, SC, on March 19, 1944, he was a son of the late Harold Cecil McMahan and Idelia Wiles McMahan. Mr. McMahan graduated from Crescent High School in 1962, and he retired from R. J. R. Mechanical and B & L Mechanical as a Project Manager with more than 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a loving family man and enjoyed many family gatherings. Mr. McMahan was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Kassie Ramey and her husband, Brian of Delmar, Delaware; Debbie Evans of Anderson; Cindi Pinyan of Pelzer, a step daughter, Kelly Payton and her husband, Jeff of Iva, nine grandchildren and a special nephew and niece, Travis McMahan and Christie Gaylord.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Earl C. McMahan; a sister, Cheryl McMahan and a niece, Kelly J. McMahan. The Funeral Service will be Friday, February 17, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mike McMillion with interment following at Iva City Cemetery.The family is at the residence and will receive friends Thursday, February 16, 2012, from 6 PM until 8 PM at The McDougald Funeral Home.Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Iva Rescue Squad, P.
