Rev. Phil Dixon Anderson, SC Reverend James Phillip Dixon, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Fellowship Health and Rehab. Born in Winter Haven, FL, Phil was the son of the late J.Y. Dixon and the late Annie Mae Durham. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Fruitland Bible College and earned a BA from Mid Atlantic, Rock Hill. Phil was a retired Southern Baptist Minister having pastored in both Georgia and South Carolina. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Dixon; daughters, April Dixon and Missy Keel and her husband Kenny, of Collins, GA; son, Ricky Dixon, of Fayetteville, NC; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Dennis Dixon. The Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. with Reverend Curtis Bundy officiating.
