Rev. William Mack Bevell, age 83, of 101 Center Pointe Rd, Belton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 15, 2014, with his beloved family by his side. Born on April 19, 1931, in Woodruff, SC, he was the son of the late Walter Irvin Bevill and late Eva Mae Luker Bevill. For over 60 years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Mildred Rollins Bevell of the residence. Mr. Bevell proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Air Force. For many years, he was a pastor within the Church of God denomination, having served churches in Chesnee, Aiken, Belton and Seneca. In addition to his wife, Mildred, Rev. Bevell is survived by 2 sons, Michael W. Bevell (Kathy) of Anderson, Timothy M. Bevell (Tina) of Aiken; a daughter, Tammy Bevell Rice (Jim) of Belton; 2 brothers, Fletch Bevill of Cove City, NC and Bobby Bevill of Nashville, GA; a sister, Pat Griffin of Woodruff, SC; 8 grandchildren, William R. Bevell, Jason Chastain, Jason Bevell, Kelli Chastain, Brooke Bevell, Ronald P. Bevell, II, Kelsey Michael Lever and Ethan Rice; 11 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Blake, Tyler, Zachary, Madison, Kaila, Dylan, Chase, Khloe, Kylee, and Arwen. In addition to his parents, Rev. Bevell was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Perry Bevell, brothers, Harold, Darryl and Joe Bevill; and sisters, Frances Jackson and Linda Waldrop. A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Rev. William Bevell will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Cross Hill Church of God, with Pastor John Christmas, Rev. Boyd King, and Rev. Ronald Smalley officiating. Interment will follow at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans' Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, November 17, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Rev.
