WILLIAM "BILL" CLIFTON KAY TOWNVILLE, SC William "Bill" Clifton Kay, age 78, of Townville, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Clifton Kay and the late Willie Mae Royster Kay. He was the owner and operator of Kay's Exxon on Hwy 24 in Anderson as well as Townville Texaco on Hwy 24 in Townville. He was a member of Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church. He is survived by his sons, Dale Kay and his wife Debbie, and Paul Kay, all of Townville, SC; a daughter, Judy Sanchez and her husband, Rigoberto; brothers, Larry Kay and his wife Juanita, of Belton, SC, and Jerry Kay and his wife Sandra, of Anderson, SC; sisters, Jessie Mae Grant and her husband Ray, of Townville, SC and Ann Soileau and her husband Joe, of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Kevin Kay and his wife Tiffany, of Pendleton, SC and Brittany Kay, of Anderson, SC; and two great-grandchildren, Bailiee and Jada Kay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald James Kay; and a sister, Barbara Jean Whitfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Dickson Memorial Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Cheezem, and Mr. Lewis Wayne Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence, 240 McAdams Road, Townville, SC 29689 and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church, 13676 West Oak Highway, Townville, SC 29689.
