A.J. Henderson, 76, of Townville, SC, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born August 27, 1947, in Hartford, TN, he was the son of the late Hubert Henderson and Carrie Ball Henderson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roy and Bobby Henderson and a sister, Linda Hembree.

A.J. worked as a carpenter for the Harper Corporation. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Henderson of Townville, SC; a son, Anthony Jay Henderson (Amanda) of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Angela J. Harris (David) of Liberty, SC; a sister, Rebecca Adams (George) of Seneca, SC; grandchildren, Jacob Henderson, Katie Ligeikis (Joseph), Aaron Harris (Ashley), and Isaac Harris and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Looney officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes.
