Aaron Theodore "Red" Shiflet, age 80, of Anderson, SC, dedicated husband to Christine Rosa Cobb Shiflet for 55 years, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at his residence. Born April, 9, 1942, in Anderson Co., SC, he was the son of the late Forrest Denver Shiflet and Myrtice Lessie Saylors Shiflet. He worked for Millers Construction where he later retired. He loved to walk and fellowship with his friends. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Robert Shiflet (Bobbie Jean), and Allan Shiflet; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and brothers, Charles Shiflet, John D. Shiflet, and Jackie L. Shiflet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John F. Shiflet and Bill Shiflet; and sisters, Gertie Maye Atkins, Emma Julia Nimons, Linda Irene Shiflet, and Mary Ruth Cobb. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Celebrant Mike Rippy officiating. The family will be at the home.
