Abraham Canela Vazquez, age 17, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Born January 22, 2009, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Ramon Canela Mulato and Yesenia Vazquez Sanchez.

Abraham was a senior at Westside High School. He was a hard worker who loved sports, fishing, swimming, and hanging out with his friends. He was kind, intelligent, and an all-around good kid who got along with everyone he met. Most of all Abraham loved his family and was a wonderful son and brother.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Alexander Canela Vazquez and Caleb Canela Vazquez; and sister, Scarlett Canela Vazquez.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Anderson County School District Five for their love and support during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 4:00 pm at Restoration House, 5001 Abbeville Hwy, Anderson, SC with Mr. Sammy Moore officiating.
