Reverend Ace Lee Allen, age 96, of Anderson, SC, gained his wings on Friday, February 21, 2025.

Born March 4, 1928, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late James Clyde Allen and the late Inice Farrow Allen. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Wood Allen and his second wife, Marlena Mae Holley Allen; sons, Ronnie Allen and Bobby Lee Allen; two great-great granddaughters, A.J. and Emberly; and sisters, Mildred Young and Frances Keaton.

He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas. He was a man of great faith who pastored in many churches and attended Living Truth Church as long as his health permitted. He displayed many traits of the God he followed so devoutly; compassion, love, and hard-working. Not only was he a fisher of men, but he also loved to catch catfish at Santee with his sons. In earlier years, he enjoyed the sport of hunting. Heaven gained an angel.

Rev. Allen is survived by his sons, James Allen (Diane), Terry Allen (Fran) and Calvin Allen; stepdaughter, Myrtis Lovouraha Martin; sister, Louise Chapman; granddaughters raised in the home, Lisa Mitchell, Elaina "Angel" Jones and Angela "Joy" Becker; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grady Turner and Rev. David Lee Peeks officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
