Addie Bell King Smith, age 101, of Anderson, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at National Healthcare, Anderson, SC. Born on June 2, 1914, in Anderson County, Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late Colie B. Smith, Sr. and daughter of the late James R. and Margaret Robinson King. She was a homemaker and also worked in retail for several years. She was a long-time member of Boulevard Baptist Church, where she and Mr. Smith were very active in the outreach ministry. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Colie B. Smith, Jr. and his wife Karen A. Smith of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Gloria Jean Ingold, of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, Laura Ingold, and Angie Cox (Mark), of Anderson, SC, Nicole Salvia (Darrell), of Alpharetta, GA, and Colleen Smith (James), of Atlanta, GA; three great granddaughters, Sarah Cox, of Anderson, SC and Abigail and Hannah Salvia, of Alpharetta, GA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Calhoun King, Cothie King, John King, and Ernest King; and three sisters, Rosa Lee Jones, Lillie Mae Philyaw, and Pallie Ellison. The Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, November 7, 2015,at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Johnny F. McKinney officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
