Howard 'Doc' Egger of 403 Long Forest Circle, husband of the late Marianne Kane Egger, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Ashtabula, Ohio on November 2, 1922, Mr. Egger was a son of the late Arnold Frank and Ethel Howes Egger. He retired from Berkley & Company and was also formerly employed by True Temper. 'Doc' proudly served his country in the 8th Air Force and was a retired Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. He was also a member of Central Presbyterian Church.He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Egger-Price of Anderson, SC and a brother, Charles Herbert Frederick Egger of Corydon, Indiana.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2006 in the Chapel of Central Presbyterian Church officiated by Dr. David J. Bailey.The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Parlor of Central Presbyterian Church.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 1404 N.
