Alan Robert Dutschke, Sr., age 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born November 18, 1934, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Albert O. Dutschke and Dorothy C. Young Dutschke. Alan was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was retired from AT&T after 40 years of service. He was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Mae McKinney Dutschke; sons, Alan R. Dutschke, Jr. (Tonja) and Andrew M. Dutschke; daughter, Jo-Ann Dutschke; and grandchildren, Tegan Dutschke, Tessie Dutschke, and Hayden Dutschke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth James. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev.
