Herring, 57, a life-long resident of Anderson passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008.He was the son of the late Welton S. and Sara C. Herring. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby E. Herring of Anderson.He is survived by his sister, Faye H. Hallman of Birmingham, AL, his sister-in-law, Martha L. Herring of Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Alan attended T. L. Hanna High School and Clemson University and was a long-time employee of Bosch Manufacturing. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson.A private graveside service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at New Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson, conducted by the Reverend Dr. James R.
