Alan Zeke Towe, 54, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born October 10, 1967, in Oconee County, SC, he was a son of John William Towe and the late Mildred Irene Nicholson Towe. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Leroy Towe and twin stillborn brothers.
He is survived by his beloved girlfriend of over six years, Caroline Anneaux of Pendleton; son, Harrison Anneaux of Pendleton; brother, Timothy Towe of Seneca and sister, Pamela McCall of Norris, SC.
Although he was never blessed with biological children, he had a large extended family. Alan loved to tell stories of growing up in Seneca. He had many fond memories of time spent with his siblings and cousins and helping raise his nieces and nephews; Tonya, Amanda, Leanna, Adriana, Tim and Christian.
Alan graduated from Seneca High School in 1985. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, as an Aircraft Firefighting and Rescue Specialist. After his return to Seneca, he worked at J.P. Stevens until the plant closed. He was a First Time Quality Technician for Borg Warner for the last 20 years.
Alan was a Christian man with a huge heart and love for his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling in and out of the country and taking pictures of all the places he visited. He also loved attending any sporting events at Clemson. If he wasn't at work, you would find him spending his time with Caroline and Harrison. Some of his best moments were the times he spent with Harrison, who he considered a son. They raced their remote control cars, took pictures, watched movies together and spent hours watching live trains and collecting and working on model trains. He was a member of the Central Railway Model and Historical Association.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 700 Issaqueena Trail, Central, SC. The family will receive friends before and after the service at the church.
