Alasdair Gordon Crudge, 54 of Easley, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital. Born January 29, 1969 in Falkirk, Scotland, Al spent time overseas with his parents until moving to the US in 1970. He was always a hard worker. As a boy, he worked for years as the neighborhood paperboy to save money for an archeological dig in Machu Picchu, Peru. He was a selfless person and always put the needs of others first. He loved his family dearly and being "Uncle Owl" to his many nieces and nephews. Despite his mental illness, he overcame so many challenges and gave so much of himself to everyone. Al will be remembered for his caring spirit and love for others. He is survived by his mother, Faith Crudge Sutterlin; his father, William James Crudge, Sr. (Elena); his brothers, William James Crudge, Jr. (Katherine) and Andrew Crudge; sisters, Elizabeth Crudge McBride (Michael) and Natalie Crudge Beal (James). The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at McDougald Funeral & Cremation Services Pendleton Center, 1001 South Mechanic Street, Pendleton, SC.
