Albert Watson Busby, age 103, of Laurens, S.C., died November 22 at the residence of his daughter Sherrill Hiott of Walterboro, S.C. He was born in Anderson, S.C. and was the son of Joe Yancy and Carrie Etta Bolt Busby. His children are Don Busby and Sherrill Busby Hiott and Albert was preceded in death by one son, Joe Albert Busby. He was the husband of the late Sue Stephenson Busby, wife of 70 years. He is survived by five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, his daughter-in-law Jane, and son-in-law John. He was the oldest active member of The First United Methodist Church of Laurens. He was a member of the Lions Club of Laurens where he served as President. Pastor Alice MacKeil will officiate his graveside service at the Old Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson, SC on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 1:00pm.
