Lees, age 95, died peacefully on April 25, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House. He was a resident of Morningside of Anderson and formerly of Groveland, Florida. He spent his final days surrounded by his loving family.Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of George and Emma Holden Lees. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Florida.For many years, Albert was the chief accountant of Airco Plastics Products, a division of Air Reduction Co., Inc. of Belleville, New Jersey. Later he became the Business Manager and Director of three Methodist retirement homes in New Jersey. Moving to East Providence, Rhode Island, he became Administrator of the newly constructed Methodist retirement center. He was instrumental in the founding of the Rhode Island Association of Facilities for the Aging, an association of non-profit facilities, and served as its first president. He attended Newark Institute of Arts and Science and Rutgers University in New Jersey, Babon College, in Wellseley, MA and the University of Rhode Island.Albert is survived by his sister Betty Lou Singlewitch of Palm Coast, FL; his son, Douglas Lees of Brick, NJ; daughter, Jacqueline Hogberg and her husband John of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Chad and Christina McCurley, Britt and Amy Morrison, Matt and Heather Morgan, all of Anderson and Beth Lees of Ocean Grove, NJ; 5 great-grandchildren and his dog Toby.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Amelia E.
