Grady Albert "Butch" Maroney, Jr., 76, loving husband of the late Janelle Whitworth Maroney of 58 years until her death in January of 2020, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Linley Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born December 25, 1943 in Townville, SC, Butch was the son of the late Grady Albert Maroney and Eva Standridge Maroney. He worked as a carpenter in construction where he later retired. Butch is survived by his children, Chris Maroney, Julie Cash (Russell), and Jason Maroney all of Anderson, SC; sister, Jackie Alewine; grandchildren, Jessica Cash Screws (Daniel), Amanda Cash McGee (Kyle), Caitlyn, Evan, and Brady Maroney all of Anderson, SC; and great-grandchild, Vera Leigh McGee. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, July 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. There will be a private ceremony at a later date.
