ALBERT SMITH July 27, 1925 - December 28, 2008STARR, SCMr. Albert Smith, age 83, husband of Annie Smith of 439 Martin Road, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at his residence.Born in Stephens County, GA on July 27, 1925, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Jeff D. Smith and Charity Smith. He was a United States Navy World War II veteran and retired from J. P. Stevens Company.Survivors include his wife, Annie Smith of the home; sons, William Jennings, Jr., of Belton, Timothy Jennings and his wife, Bernice of Starr, and Jeff Smith and his wife, Stacie of Anderson; daughters, Wanda Wheeler and her husband, Marvin of Iva, Sharon Hughes and her husband Louie of Iva and Brenda Smith of the home; brother, Melvin Smith of Anderson; sisters, Virginia Sullivan of Anderson and Lillian Smith of Starr; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Smith and a sister, Geneva McAbee.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Ron Poole.
