ALBERT DENNIS TIMMS December 4, 1924 - March 1, 2007CENTRAL, SCMr. Albert Dennis Timms, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 01, 2007.Born in Anderson, SC on December 4, 1924, Mr. Timms was the son of the late Olivia Timms Landreth. He retired from the Clemson University Fire Department and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pendleton where he was a former deacon and choir member. Albert served in the United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II.He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mildred Thornton Timms and his children, Deborah Bzdyl and her husband, Don, James Timms and his wife, Lynn, and Mary Nan Timms; two grandchildren, Crystal Cox and her husband, Trevor, and Paul Bzdyl; two great-grandchildren, Jae and Katelynn Cox.A brother, Clyde 'Bud' Landreth, preceded him in death. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 4:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Pendleton, officiated by the Reverends Courtney Krueger, Gerald Murphy and Richard Hawke. The Men's A Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Escort. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
