She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple where she served as former church secretary, was a past president of the Women's Missionary Society, and a choir member. Being a Certified Medical Assistant, she was a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants, and was employed at Anderson Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Being a lifetime member of the American County Humane Society, she was a past secretary on the Board of Directors.Surviving are widower, Sam Yeargin, of the home; sisters, Teresa Dill of Belton and Edie Alewine of Anderson; niece, Jennifer Carter of Piedmont; nephews, Stephen Owen of Anderson and Joshua Alewine of the The US Navy, stationed in Hawaii; great-nephews and great-niece, Kaden Kylee and Keagan Carter of Piedmont.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Temple by the Reverend Sam Duncan. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
