Alice Fay Wright Cleveland, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Fleetwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born in Anderson, SC on October 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late S.B. Scarborough and Ellen M. Wright. She was a server at Holiday Inn of Anderson and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. She was formerly a Sunday School teacher at Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Garland Earl Cleveland; a son, Philip Eugene Cleveland, Sr. and his wife Mary, of Anderson, SC; brothers, J.P Wright and his wife Catherine, of Anderson, SC and Reverend Fred Scarborough, of Honea Path, SC; sisters, Shelby Isom, of Anderson, SC and Frankie Cain, of Hartwell, GA; six grandchildren, Philip E. Cleveland, II, Rosemary E. Ramon, A. Beth Starkey, Daryl E. Cleveland, Karah E. Cleveland, and Deanna K. Gurley; twelve great-grandchildren, Jesse, Ava, Katie, Gavin, Sarah, Alannah, Ethan, Adrianna, Kaylee, Emilia, Ariana, and Luke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eva Lou Bannister, and Frances Keith; and brothers, Johnny Scarborough, and Mack Wright. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Larry Pearson and Reverend Fred Scarborough "Tab" officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
