Alice G. Evans (Mama Jackie) loving wife of the late "Tiny" Evans, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 19th, 2015. Born in Cleveland, SC on January 19th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Ruth and Edmond Martin Tilley. She is survived by her two sons and loving daughter-in-law, Larry Gilbert and his wife Carol and Tommy Burton; five grandchildren, Chris Gilbert, Charlie and Katie Burton, Chris Standridge and Angie Bowen; ten great-grandchildren and two adopted daughters, Helen Medlin and Pat Perkins. She was a member of Norris Hill Presbyterian Church and Daughters of the Eastern Star. She loved being a helping hand to anyone in need. She was happiest when cooking and sharing food, time and love with family, friends and total strangers. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Bud Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
