Alice Faye Green Kelly, age 73, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023. Born October 16, 1949, in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Robert Walter Green and Bertha Lee Carey Green. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter D. Green; 3 sisters-in-law, and parents-in-law, Dessie and Buck Broyles. Alice retired from Modern Dry Cleaners after 30 years of faithful service. She loved sweets and baking cakes for her family. She enjoyed dancing and vacations in the mountains or at the beach. She loved her pets and her family dearly and had a special place in her heart for all of her grands who called her "Nanny Faye". She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Jimmy Dale Kelly, Sr.; son Jimmy Dale Kelly, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Diane "Patty" Kelly (Robbie Moore); brothers, Wayne Green, Jimmy R. "Beaver" Green, and Michael Green; sisters, Susan McGill (Randy) and Marie Hall (Keith); 5 grandchildren, Bradley, Kevin, and Tyler Moore, and Blake and Taylor Kelly; and 21 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, 2023, from 12:00-2:00 pm at Gethsemane Baptist Temple. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Sam Duncan, Rev. Charles Howell, and Bro. Jimmy Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Susan McGill, 3903 Allston St., Anderson, SC.
