OBITUARYMRS. ALICE PEEPLESNovember 2, 1926 - March 17, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Alice E. Long Peeples, age 80, wife of Warren Peeples of 711 Redwood Ave., died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at her residence.Born in Barnwell, SC, on November 2, 1926, Mrs. Peeples was a daughter of the late James Oscar Long and Mary Still Long. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Peeples was also a Gold Star Mother having lost her son during the Vietnam War. Surviving are her husband, Warren Peeples of the home; her son, Jimmy D. Peeples and his wife, Gloria of Anderson, and her daughter, Jewell P. Childs and her husband Tony of Iva, SC. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, Billy H. Peeples and all of her brothers and sisters.The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 3:30 pm officiated by the Reverend Brent Lollis. Interment will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 from 2:30 to 3:30 at the funeral home.The family will be at the home of a granddaughter and her husband, Rev. and Mrs. Brent Lollis, 169 Amberwood Dr., Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
