Born in Chadbourn, NC on November 3, 1938, Mrs. Powell was the daughter of the late William Vester Nobles and Dora Melinda Nobles. She was a homemaker and attended West Anderson Church of God. She was a devoted wife, mother and nanny to her loving family. Survivors include her husband, Charles Powell of the home; sons, Gary Livingston and his wife, Tammy of Gramercy, LA and Pete Powell of King George, VA; grandson, Eric Livingston of Honea Path; granddaughter, Shelbi Lynn Livingston of Gramercy, LA; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Bailey Livingston of Honea Path.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Mark Daniel and John Daniel. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.The family will be at the residence.Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Carolinas Chapter, 200 W.
