WELBORNANDERSON, SC 'Alice Perry Welborn, wife of the late William Harper Welborn, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at her home on East Mauldin Street.Born July 14, 1913, in Easley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Oscar Perry and Harriet Dorcus Perry. Mrs. Welborn was a 1938 graduate of Catawba College. She was affiliated as a tax preparer with her late husband's law firm until his death in 1972 and in later years was a food demonstrator in various grocery stores. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters: Frances Harriet Ferrene & husband, Otto, of Hilton Head, SC, Catherine Alice 'Kitty' Moore & husband, Patrick, of Highlands, NC, and Nancy Perrie Whitaker and husband, Ken, of Denton, TX; seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Elwood Orr and Dr. Johnny F. McKinney The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm, prior to the service.
