Alison Crawford Link entered into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Born March 9, 1965, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of George William "Bill" Crawford, Jr. and Elaine Huckaby Crawford. In Alison, Joey Link found a wonderful wife. "To Him, she was far more precious than jewels and his heart trusted her." (Proverbs 31) Alison's greatest joy was serving others. She worked the family farm and entertained any business venture Joey and the children planned. She was a defender of the Christian faith and loved to spend time discipling and pouring into younger women, teaching them how to be a Godly wife and mother. Alison was the definition of a Proverbs 31 woman, "always caring for her family, submitting to her spouse, and fearing the Lord." She leaves behind her husband, Joseph "Joey" Link, Jr.; children, Kerri Link Fleming (Rod), Joseph "Trey" Link, III (Mariel), Allie Link Gillespie (Blake) and William "Will" Link. She was known as Grammie by her grandchildren Trace, Bentley, and Laynie Pearl Fleming, Joseph "Jeb", IV, Olivia, Manley and Sylvie Link, and Link and Denton Gillespie. She is also survived by her parents Bill and Elaine Crawford; sisters Sherrie Smith (McKinley) and Kellie Kent (Paul); mother-in-law, Judy Riggins Link; sister-in-law, Sherri Link Cheek (Rick); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Joseph A. "Joe" Link, Sr. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 4 pm -7 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2023 at Bishop Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Smoak officiating. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Bishop Branch Baptist Church, 1109 Central Road, Central, SC 29630 for the Tanzania Missions, which were dear to Alison's heart.
