Alison Michelle Mitchell, 48, of Anderson, SC, born April 30, 1971, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by her family. Alison graduated from Hillcrest High School and during her school years she enjoyed dancing and participated with various dance competitions. She previously worked for the Greenville Hospital System and had her real estate license through The Powell Group. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband for over 23 years, Thomas Mitchell; mother, Gale Phillips Dewease; father, David Dewease (Margaret Ann); sisters, Julie Tucker (Ryan), Carol Ann Makla (Rick) and Amy Castles; and her Boxer Lab Riley. She was preceded in death by her beloved Papa and Mandy. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30pm, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, SC. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Christopher DeWease officiating. A committal service will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
