He was raised in Mount Vernon, OH, and then lived twenty years in Edinburgh, IN. He and his family then moved to Leesburg, FL where he retired from Sutter's HVAC as their bookkeeper. He served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post in Edinburgh, IN and the Leesburg Boat Club in Leesburg, FL. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Betty L. Crouthers Beever and their children, William Lester Beever and his wife, Phyllis of Anderson, SC, Thomas Allen Beever and his wife, Audrey of Boiling Springs, SC, Sue Dix and her husband, Mike of Indianapolis, IN and James Lyle Beever of Leesburg, FL; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Minnie Beever and a sister, Jane Hurlow.The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comTHE MC DOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
