GREENWAY March 16, 1918 - February 15, 2006ANDERSON, SCMrs. Allie Mitchell Hanks Greenway, age 87, wife of Truman Greenway of 112 Haynie Road, Anderson, SC, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA.Born in Anderson, SC on March 16, 1918, Mrs. Greenway was a daughter of the late Jim Mitchell and Ola Bolt Mitchell. She was a former employee of Appleton Mill, Rainbow Rugs and Carolina Doughnut. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Truman Greenway of the home; sons, Billy Hanks and his wife, Margaret and Jimmy Hanks and his wife, Ann, all of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Bobbie Wicker and her husband, Sam of Anderson, SC; step-sons, Tony Greenway and his wife, Cathey and Tim Greenway and his wife, Missy all of Asheville, NC and Michael Greenway and his wife, Sharon of Wilmington, NC; a step-daughter, Dale Messer and her husband, Norman of Wilmington, NC; ten grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Guy, Willie, Jim, Wylie and Milford Mitchell and five sisters, Lena Howell, Dessie Vaughn, Mamie Campbell, Helen Blair and Effie Holland.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Sam Chasteen, Mark Dickerson and Billy Whitfield. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence and at the home of her daughter, Bobbie Wicker, 314 Rhodehaven Drive, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
