Alma Jean Sutherland Belton, SC Alma Jean Standridge Sutherland, age 67, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at North Greenville Hospital. Born on November 26, 1947, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jake Cromer Standridge and the late Lucille Gibby Standridge. She enjoyed staying home and taking care of her family. Alma attended Freedom Fellowship Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Sutherland; her children, John Sutherland and his wife Ellen, Carl Sutherland, Caine Sutherland and his wife Darlene, and Christine Bryant, all of Belton, SC; two brothers, Fred Standridge and his wife Elmira and Leon Standridge and his wife Jenny, all of Anderson; and two grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Doyle and David Standridge. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Critser officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence, 3805 Old Williamston Road, Belton, SC 29627, and will receive friends at the funeral home, on Friday, prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
