Alyce Galloway Burriss, 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her home. Born March 15, 1951 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Welton Galloway and Gladys Chapman Galloway. Alyce was a master gardener working at City Seed of Anderson for over 12 years. She loved gardening, which was her passion, and she will live on in the hearts and minds of her children through the gardens she planted for them. Alyce was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Walther Thomas "Tommy" Burriss; sons, Michael Thomas Burriss (Jill) of Anderson and Joseph David Burriss (Lindsay) of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Burriss of Tega Cay, SC; and brother, William "David" Galloway (Elaine) of Anderson. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 1704 E. Greenville St, Ste. 1-C, Anderson, SC 29621.
