Alyce McElroy Davis, age 89, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House of Anderson. Born on December 24, 1927, in Pelzer, SC, she was the daughter of the late William T. McElroy and Earle M. McElroy. She attended Anderson City Schools and Forest College. Alyce retired as a bookkeeper of Gates Firestone in Anderson, SC. She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church for over 62 years, where she was a Sunday School Teacher of the Esther Class. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Curtiss R. Davis, a sister, Sue M. Buchanan, and a brother Baylis E. Patterson. The Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating.
