Amelia Elizabeth Boroughs Loftis, age 84, of Homerville, GA, loving wife to the late Frank Edward Loftis, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at River Brook Healthcare. Born June 6, 1936, in Dacusville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Paul Bryan Boroughs, Sr. and the late Lena Rae Cavenaugh Boroughs. While residing in the Centerville community Amelia worked in textiles for many years. Back in the 1970's Amelia was very competitive becoming the state champion in golf as well as winning a championship in bowling. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. She is survived by her brothers, Ray Boroughs of Old Town, FL, Samuel Boroughs of Honea Path, SC, and Durwood Boroughs of Belton, SC. In addition to her parents, and husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Boroughs, Jr., Robert Boroughs, and Boyce Boroughs; and sisters, Mary Frances Boroughs, and Patricia Boroughs Burgess. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating. The family will receive and greet friends immediately following the service. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun St., Anderson, SC 29621.
