Amory Audry Carthern, Jr., age 55, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at his residence. Born on October 18, 1961, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Amory Audry Carthern, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Allene Crumley Carthern. Mr. Carthern was self-employed, operating a small engine repair business. Survivors include a brother, Mitchell M. Carthern of Anderson; three sisters, Jennie Standridge (Leon), Caroline Carthern (Shane), and Beth Carthern(Michael), all of Anderson; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Keith Carthern, and a sister-in-law, Martha Sue Carthern. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
