Anastasia Whitty Mauger, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Born May 26, 1933, in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Whitty and Josephine Skarzenski Whitty. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard Mauger; and 5 siblings

As the first daughter in her family, Anastasia took care of her younger siblings from an early age. She was a perfectionist at heart, always making sure even the smallest detail was just right. She enjoyed golfing, reading, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family beyond measure.

She is survived by her sons, David Mauger (Michelle) and Richard L. Mauger; daughter, Kay Roach (David); siblings, Tommy, Michael, Margaret, Katherine, Linda, Barbara, Dorothy, and Eleanor; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date in Indiana. Mrs. Mauger’s final resting place will be at Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington, IN.
