Angela Dolores Burdette Cathey, age 58, of 207 Cleveland Road, Anderson, went to Heaven to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 6, 2014, upon her death at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson on April 7, 1956, she was the daughter of Mrs. Carolyn C. Burdette of Anderson, and the late John Thomas Burdette. She was the former wife of William "Ed" Cathey of Mebane, NC. Mrs. Cathey was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Anderson Hospital following her completion of nurses training at the Hospital. She was a member of Only Believe Fellowship. In addition to her mother, Angela is survived by 2 sons, John T. Cathey and his wife Amie of Lexington, SC, and Christopher E. Cathey and his wife, Rachel of Irmo, SC; a daughter, Michelle Eaton and her husband Matthew of Culpepper, VA; 3 brothers, Tommy Burdette and his wife Angie of Anderson, James T. Burdette and wife Ginger of Fair Play, SC., and Daniel Burdette and his wife Andrea of Pendleton, SC; 1 sister Betty Milford of Charleston, SC; 7 grandchildren, Logan, Connor and Evangeline Eaton; Elijah and Ireland Cathey; and Isaac and Joseph Cathey. In addition to her father, Mrs. Cathey was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas Burdette, Jr. A Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Angela B. Cathey will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 12 Noon at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with her brother, Rev. James T. Burdette officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
