OBITUARYAngela Rose Shore Jones, age 55, of Sycamore Drive, Athens, GA, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Born in Anderson, SC on July 24, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Austin Edward Shore and Iva Bryson Cook Shore of Anderson. She was a graduate of Crescent High School and was an accomplished Equestrian and had an extraordinary love for horses. She was the recipient of several State Horse Show awards. She was a member of Gaffney Road Baptist Church in Anderson and was a longtime member of Iva A.R.P Church. She is survived by her mother, Iva Bryson Cook Shore of Anderson, daughter, Alison Evans Rainey of Starr, brother, Austin E. (Eddie) Shore of Atlanta, GA and grandchildren; Kayla Rainey, Savannah Evans, and Gage Evans. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Scott Evans.A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Iva A.R.P Church with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 6-8 pm. Flowers are optional.
