Anita Faye Medlin Gilstrap, age 55, of Anderson, entered her Heavenly Home on the Sabbath Day, February 25, 2018, with her beloved family by her side at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson on June 23, 1962, she was the daughter of Helen Hembree Medlin of Anderson. For eighteen years, she was the beloved wife of Bobby Gilstrap of the residence. Mrs. Gilstrap was a graduate of McDuffie High School, Glass of 1980. She served many years as a loan supervisor at National Finance, and later as a Patient Coordinator at Kool Smiles Dentistry. Anita was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Anderson Lodge 130. She was a faithful member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her mother and husband, Bobby, Mrs. Gilstrap is survived by three brothers, Jimmy Medlin (Marsha) of Tacoma, WA, Johnny Medlin (Wanda) of Anderson, and Steven Medlin (Judy) of Toccoa, GA; nieces, Christy, Kayla, Yuni, and Leah; nephews, Will and Tony and great nephews, Hilton and Milo. A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Anita Gilstrap will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Neals Creek Baptist Church, with Reverend Jason Dorriety and Rev. Bud Griffith officiating.
