Doris Ann Burrell, 72 of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born February 27, 1946 in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late J.T. Leopard and Willie Mae Russ. Ann was raised at Connie Maxwell Children's Home. She and her family resided in Columbia, SC, where she practiced nursing at Three Rivers Behavioral Health. Following retirement, she and Dwight moved to Anderson in 2015. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dwight Burrell; daughter, Susan Mortenson (Jason); brothers, John and Ronnie Leopard; sister, Betty Turner; two grandchildren, Grace Ann Mortenson and Abby Leigh Mortenson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Olin Leopard. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 pm Sunday, November 11, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating.
