Ann Olis Dalton Chambers, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Jefferson, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Dalton and the late Ruby Lillie Tatum Dalton. She worked in textiles for many years, then was employed by Westside High School for 22 years as the cashier in the cafeteria, where she was affectionately known as "The Whistle Lady". Ann was a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church where she was a member of Senior Saints and the Covenant Safety Team. She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Wink" Chambers; daughters, Celina "Tootsie" Chambers-Dutton and her husband Greg, Debbie Wardlaw and her husband Donnie, and Delina Alewine and her husband Roy, all of Anderson, SC; brothers, Chuck Dalton, of Jacksonville, FL, Roger Dalton, of Anderson, SC, and Jimmy Dalton, of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Patsy Eidson, of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Victoria Wardlaw; and her siblings, Sybil Cage, Louise Cannon, Jeanette Sadler, Robert Dalton, and Johnny Dalton. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve Silvey and Reverend Ronnie James officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Those serving as the Honorary Escort include the Rick Fleming Sunday School Class and the Covenant Safety Team.
