Annie Marie Holland Gambrell, age 97, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 5, 2021, at her home. She was born January 24, 1924 in Anderson County and was a daughter of the late Henry Grady Holland and Mary Lou Bolt Holland. She was married to Marvin D. Gambrell until his death in 1996. Ann was a graduate of Honea Path High School and began her working years at Toxaway Mills and then went on to retire from Ryobi. She loved to crochet and gifted many people over the years with her beautiful creations. She enjoyed eating her favorite miniature chocolate candy. Ann served the Lord faithfully all through her life and she prayed nightly for her family calling them each by name. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Linda Gale Jones (Jimmy) and Carolyn Bryant; sister, Sadie Ashley; grandchildren, Greg Jones (Candy), Kim Morris (Billy), Rock Jones (Jennifer), Stacy Bryant (Kayla), and April Wentzky (Nate); great grandchildren, Heather King (Andrew), Hunter Jones, Ashley and Abby Gilreath, Alexis Bryant (Tevin), Taylor Bryant, Laneleigh, Luke, and Logan Wentzky, and Carter Bryant; and great-great grandchildren, Landry King, Draya Taylor, and Moni Robinson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Friends and family may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 2:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Ashley officiating.
