Melvina Ann Loskoski Gundry, age 81, of Starr, SC, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at her home.

Born July 22, 1942, in Starr, SC, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Loskoski and Lucy Evans Scoggins. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 4 sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family and cooking. She formerly worked for Roy's Diner and Ryan's and was the owner of Essie's Restaurant. She also served the Anderson community as a firefighter with Homeland Park Volunteer Fire Department some years ago.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Alex Gundry; children, Jeff Loskoski, Nancy Gundry, Amanda Gundry, and Johnathan Gundry (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 3, 2023, from 12:00-1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Jerry Gray and Father Jack Hardaway officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence.
