Margaret Ann Gilmer "Miss Annie" Wilson, age77, of Anderson, passed away at AnMed Health Medical Center on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Born on November 10, 1939, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Fred Brooks Gilmer and the late Margaret Elizabeth Ramey Gilmer. For forty-eight years, she was the loving wife of the late H. Randolph "Ranny" Wilson until his death in 2009. Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Anderson Girls' High School, Class of 1957. She later attended the University of South Carolina and Carolina School of Commerce. Mrs. Wilson was known by many for her work at Anderson County Library, where she was employed for twenty years until her retirement. Ann was a faithful member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Elizabeth Bertz (Mark) of Johns Creek, GA, and Allyson Ann Wilson (Bobby Bazinet) of Easley; also surviving are two grandchildren, Allyson Elizabeth Bertz and Matthew Randolph Wilson (Miranda Patterson) and their daughter, Mia. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Ann Wilson will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev Herb Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
