Anna Leshchuk, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Fedir Korneychuk and the late Oksana Korneychuk. Anna loved many things in life, including gardening, farming and her dogs, but who she loved most was Jesus, her grandchildren, and singing. She came to the US 27 years ago and lived in Chicago for 16 years before moving to Anderson, SC in 2005. She is survived by her husband, Philip Leshchuk; children, Fedir Leshchuk and his wife Nadia, of Ukraine, Oksana Kovalishin and her husband Viktor, of Anderson, SC and Luba Kucher and her husband Tim, of Chicago, IL; a brother, Nicholas Korneychuk, of Ukraine; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Peter Kovalishin. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Summer of God Slavic Evangelical Church, with The Reverend Piotr Nestertsov officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
