ANDERSON, SC-- Anne Duris Cleveland, widow of Austin Kidd (Cleve) Cleveland, died Friday, May 19, 2006 in Macon, GA. Mrs. Cleveland was the daughter of the late Mary and George Duris of Hendersonville, NC.Mrs. Cleveland was predeceased by her husband Austin Kidd (Cleve) Cleveland and brothers, Alexander Duris and Charles Duris both of Hendersonville, NC.A native of Orlando, FL, Mrs. Cleveland was a long-time resident of Anderson, SC. She was retired from Sears Roebuck and Company and was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church where she was a member of the St. Catherine's Circle.Mrs. Cleveland was also a member of the Anderson County Club, Anderson County Woman's Club, Anderson Garden Club, American Contract Bridge League, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a former volunteer Pink Lady at Anderson Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Cleveland is survived by a son, Robert J. (Connie) Cleveland of Macon, GA; daughter, Mary Anne (Dr. Cliff) Hammond of Davidson, NC; three grandsons, Robert J. (Elizabeth) Cleveland, II of Macon, GA, Dr. Brett S. (Merryman) Cleveland of Gastonia, NC, and Blair K. (Betsy) Cleveland of Macon, GA; one granddaughter, Mary Anne (Timothy) Byrd of Cornelius, NC; nephew, Peter Duris of Hendersonville, NC; two great-granddaughters, Bess of Gastonia, NC and Ellie of Macon, GA, and four great-grandsons, Robert, III, Thomas, and Knox all of Macon, GA and Foard of Gastonia, NC; two step-grandsons, Dr. Scott H. (Emily) Robbins of Marseille, France, Ross H. (Allison) Robbins of Carrollton, GA; one step-granddaughter, Olivia of Marseille, France.
