Carter, died Monday, September 5, 2005 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Seneca, SC on March 26, 1932, Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late John Gaines Rucker and Ruby Cain Rucker Moore. She was retired from textiles.Survivors include her sons, Bobby Carter of Anderson, SC, Johnny Carter of Elberton, GA, Tommy Carter of Anderson, SC and Willie Carter, Jr., of the home; sister, Jean Rucker Hendrix of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Gaines Rucker, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Sam Duncan. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at funeral home on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
