Annie Stephens Chappell Anderson, SC Annie Lee Moss Stephens Chappell, age 93, of Anderson, SC. Passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Ellenburg Nursing Center. Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Luther Moss and the late Bertie Belle Conwell Moss. She worked for many years at Wellingon Mill. Annie had also worked at Singer Co. and Wometco. She was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church for over 60 years where she served as the 5 year old Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir and was the church janitor for couple of years. She is survived by her husband, David Jack Chappell; a son, Douglas Stephens and his wife Alesia; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Marvin Stephens; one brother and three sisters. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.with Dr. Kirt Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her son, Doug, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
